German Bohemian Heritage Society’s

40th Anniversary and Fall Meeting

Open to the public.

Turner Hall New Ulm (102 S State)

Saturday, October 26, 2024

Celebrating 40 years of the German-Bohemian Heritage Society. In the early 1980’s, a group of German-Bohemians began to wonder.  Where did my German ancestors come from? The question sparked the idea bringing creative, ambitious and dedicated people together forming the organization. It has been an exciting journey uncovering the stories of the heritage and culture gaining a deeper understanding of who these people were. We will review the history, remember those no longer with us, while sharing stories and experiences connecting immigrant’s descendants to a way of life destroyed after WWII. Including accomplishments of the GBHS, and what it means to be a German-Bohemian. It will be a fun and entertaining evening for all.

4:00 pm – Cultural Display – there will be displays of cultural items.  Everyone is invited to share and display their German-Bohemian family histories. Bring photos, memorabilia, and family heirlooms to share your stories and connect with others.
